Driving Lessons in Edinburgh

Sarah – Morningside Edinburgh

Sarah got in touch just before Christmas last year, her situation was that she had taken driving lessons in Ireland about ten years ago and been really enjoying driving but with having a newly born baby daughter she was finding it very difficult to create enough time for everything. After then coming to live in Edinburgh and her children being a little more grown up she decided she would get back into driving lessons. Sarah told me that she had searched the internet looking at Edinburgh driving instructors and with nobody that she knew that had any recommendations decided that she would give me a go. We managed to get a lot done on Sarah’s first driving lesson, we headed up towards the Braids and Sarah was convinced that she would have forgotten everything from her first driving lesson, I on the other hand thought she would remember a lot of things it would just be refreshing things and she would be good. After about 20 minutes of driving you could see that Sarah was getting back into it and seemed to be keeping up with everything we were covering. We finished the first driving lesson with Sarah driving back down into the Morningside area of Edinburgh and came up with a plan of what we would do next. It was great as Sarah worked from home most days and could fit in driving lessons during her lunch break. We went most weeks and started to look at the Currie area of Edinburgh especially Calder road in Edinburgh which has lots of roundabouts on it. I made a video to do with Calder road in February and Sarah had been using this to revise between driving lessons which seemed to speed things up a lot. Once we had covered everything we tried a mock test which Sarah did really well with, this built our confidence that even under pressure Sarh was going to be able to do it. Sarah was on the lookout for a driving test cancellation a the waiting list was long at the time but managed to find a test for the following month.  She told me that she felt sick when confirming the booking. Before we knew it the day of the test had arrived and we set off from Morningside across Edinburgh to the test centre. Sarah was naturally nervous but decided that once it was underway that she would be fine. Sarah was completely fine, passing her driving test first time at the Currie test centre in Edinburgh. This gives Sarah the freedom to drive her children around and do lots of exciting things through the summer.
