Anticipation and Planning Video Morningside Edinburgh
In this short video, I have a look at how to plan ahead when driving through a busy urban area, when taking driving lessons your driving instructor should be pointing out things like the pedestrian crossing ahead, cyclists or anything else that is going to affect you. Naturally, it all takes practice and experience and as the driving lessons continue your skills of predicting what is coming up gets better and better. With help from your driving instructor though you will soon realise that it is the same things over and over again on the roads that interrupt you and that you have to react to.
The video is filmed in Morningside, Edinburgh and covers a basic driving lesson. I try to look at what is coming up in the distance further up the road and what I need to do to make sure I deal with the hazard appropriately. Hopefully, the video makes sense and the next time you are out on a driving lesson you can put it into practice and see how you get on.
