Alice – Bruntsfield Edinburgh
Alice was currently studying to become a vet, based out in the Bush campus of Edinburgh university Alice travelled out from Bruntsfield in Edinburgh. Trying to get a driving licence was going to be extremely helpful for Alice as once qualified this would give her a range of options of where she could work and if she was needing drive at work that would also be an option.
We started driving lessons just before things stopped for coronavirus in 20202, we managed to get a few driving lessons done and then shortly after that everything came to a stop. Because Alice was at university she headed home like most students once the lockdown began. This meant that we had a bit of a delay in us resuming driving lessons and getting into a regular rhythm of lessons. After the second lockdown was done and the summer was over Alice got into doing regular weekly lessons this was great and noticeable progress was made.
Living in the Brunsfield area of Edinburgh wherever we went driving during driving lessons was full of challenges, this really helped fast-track Alice into many difficult and awkward driving situations.
After successfully sitting and passing her theory test Alice managed to get a test date booked, this was exciting and gave us a deadline to aim for. Working hard on the driving lessons we did we progressed steadily and made sure that we tried to always come up with a plan for what was left to try and fix. As the driving test date approached Alice decided that she would like a few more weeks to prepare and that the original driving test date she had booked was slightly too soon. This was a very mature and sensible decision to make.
After moving the diving test and us carrying out just a few more driving lessons making sure that Alice was feeling fine with the remaining details Alice went on to pass her driving test on her first attempt at the Currie test centre in Edinburgh. Well done.
