Adele – West Linton
Adele’s mum got in touch with me to organise driving lessons for Adele’s seventeenth birthday in August. A few years earlier I had taught Adele’s older sister Lauren to drive and she had done really well, taking to the driving quickly and having no problem passing her driving test first time in Edinburgh. So I hoped Adele would be very similar. On our first outing, we drove from West Linton down to Penicuik and ran through the basic controls of the car, Adele did really well taking in everything we were talking about and seemed to enjoy our first outing which was great. As the weeks went on we were progressing through a whole range of skills and decided that we would try and sit the driving test in Edinburgh as the driving test waiting times for Peebles were already into next year and Adele was going to be ready long before then. Outside of driving lessons, Adele was getting to drive with her mum and dad which was making noticeable improvements between each driving lesson. Adele managed to book a driving test for the end of November but due to improving so much and really getting the hang of things we decided to bring the test forward and sit it at the beginning of November. Adele managed to find a driving test first thing on a Monday morning. I collected her bright and early and we headed up to Edinburgh to see if Adele could follow in the footsteps of her big sister. I was really confident that Adele was going to deliver a good drive and she did just that passing her driving test first time in Edinburgh. Well done.
