Matthew – Marchmont Edinburgh
Matthew contacted me looking for a driving instructor in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh, and I was thrilled to take him on as a new student. As an experienced driver who had previously taken lessons with another instructor, Matthew had a solid foundation of skills that we could build upon.
From our very first lesson, Matthew’s enthusiasm and curiosity shone through, and I could tell he was eager to learn and improve. He wasn’t afraid to ask questions, which allowed us to explore a wide range of scenarios and fine-tune his driving skills.
In addition to our driving lessons, Matthew also took the time to watch the videos on my website, which proved to be an invaluable resource for consolidating his knowledge and bringing everything together. We even conducted mock driving tests to help prepare him for the real thing.
Each lesson had a clear plan, and we made great progress after every session. Matthew found a driving test which was about 4 weeks away once things were coming together, this was just the right amount of time away to be exciting and still allow us to work on the final details.
However, a week before his test, my car broke down and had to be replaced with a different one. This meant that Matthew was going to take his test in a car that he had never driven before, which could have added even more pressure.
But Matthew rose to the occasion, showing remarkable poise and skill under the added pressure, and passed his test with flying colours. I am so proud of him and thrilled to have been a part of his journey to becoming a confident and capable driver. Congratulations, Matthew, on a job well done!
