Husam – Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh
Husam had previously driven in his home country and had held a driving licence for many years but had only driven automatics. After studying here for a year he wanted to take on the challenge of acquiring a full UK driving licence. Husam had lots of skills already so all we needed to do was introduce how the clutch worked and develop the fine control that he would need. We spent the first lesson explaining the biting point and going out of blinder junctions which required car control.
We discussed how the road systems would work in the UK and adapted his skills to work with the rules of the road here. Husam was a very quick learner and in between driving lessons, he would watch the videos on my website to consolidate his knowledge. This really showed as each time we went out he was another level on.
He went on to pass at Currie with only one driving fault recorded. Well done.
