Jude – West Linton
Jude began driving lessons when he turned seventeen, we started by driving from West Linton down into Penicuik looking a basic car control and junctions, using the moor road from West Linton down to Penicuik gave us lots of time to fiddle about stopping and starting and changing gear.
As time went on we built things up and not before too long we were heading into Edinburgh during driving lessons taking on as many challenges as we could find, from huge roundabouts with multiple lanes and spirals to fast 70mph dual carriageways.
Jude had a busy schedule as was taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh program which involved expeditions, volunteering and many more things. We managed to fit driving lessons around Jude’s schedule. After ironing out Judes driving it was time to sit the driving test in Edinburgh and get him on the road we booked a driving test at the Currie test centre and then tried to explore the common areas people make mistakes in.
We got a test booked for September in the morning and Jude didn’t disappoint passing with compliments from the examiner. Well done Jude. Just another thing to add to his long list of achievements.
