Kirsten – West Linton
Kirsten got in touch at the beginning of the summer about driving lessons, unfortunately I was completely full at the time but we arranged to begin driving lessons hopefully in September. When Kirsten and I went out on the first time we started outside Kirstens school in Edinburgh. It was great as Kirsten had already done a lot with her dad so had lots of skills that together we could build on. During our first driving lesson we drove around the Edinburgh starting in the Morningside area and then headed out towards the Colinton area then on to West Linton to finish. Kirsten was a really quick learner progressing through everything we covered very quickly. The next time we went out we looked at manoeuvres and yet again Kirsten managed to learn all of these new skills and perfect them. Kirsten told me that she played tennis and training for this was usually at the weekend but in the Scottish Borders so being able to drive would make a huge difference in getting to practice. With Kirsten progressing so quickly we decided to try a mock driving test to see how she would cope under pressure. I was really impressed as nothing seemed to phase her that much. We were now on the hunt for a driving test as soon as possible. Kirsten managed to find one for the start of November that we were both free for, Kirsten as expected had no problems passing with only two faults. A really good drive even with blinding sun in her eyes. Well done enjoy your freedom.
