Lachlan – Rutherford Castle

Lachlan began driving lessons shortly after his seventeenth birthday. He was currently in his fifth year and went to school in Edinburgh so learning to drive was going o make a big difference to Lachlan’s life. We started driving around some of the back roads towards Penicuik from Rutherford castle. During the first lesson we managed o run through the basics and you could tell Lachlan was taking everything in as he was already applying his new skills when required. We then started carrying out driving lessons starting at his school in Edinburgh and finishing back out at Rutherford castle this gave us a really good mix of roads and problems to solve on our travels. Lachlan took a break during his exams but continued driving with his mum and dad. We resumed after he had passed his theory test and we were now on the home straight. We lined up a test for a few weeks after Lachlan was due to return from his family summer holiday. We carried out a few lessons to just fine tune a few things and then before we knew it the day had come. Lachlan did really well on the day passing his driving test on his first attempt in Edinburgh and this now sets him up for his sixth year at school with his driving licence.  A great place to be well done.
