Building on Previous Experience for a First-Time Pass
Olive had previously taken driving lessons but hadn’t reached the stage of sitting her driving test. Starting with a good foundation, we aimed to get her test-ready before the end of her university year. Olive, finishing her first year at university, had never driven in Edinburgh before. We set out to get her up to speed and prepared for her driving test.
It was clear from the outset that Olive had some great skills. Weekly lessons were productive and enjoyable, thanks to Olive’s enthusiasm and positive attitude. We quickly worked towards a mock driving test in the Currie area of Edinburgh, which provided us both with a clear idea of her readiness.
Olive performed well in the mock test, with only a few areas needing improvement. Confident in her abilities, we booked her driving test for just after her last exam, perfectly timed before she moved out of university halls.
On the test day, we started early with a 6:30 am pickup for Olive’s 8:00 am test. Confident in her abilities, I wasn’t surprised when Olive passed on her first attempt, earning compliments from the examiner. Well done, Olive!
