Niamh Shaw – West Linton
Niamh started driving lessons in the summer of last year, with a very busy schedule of competing in running events and getting ready to begin college at the end of the summer we managed to fit driving lessons in when Niamh was free. After doing a few driving lessons Niamh began practicing with her mum and dad getting to drive a few times a week between driving lessons, this made a big difference as we progressed through all areas of driving steadily. We practiced in Penicuik and Peebles first before taking a drive up to Edinburgh where Niamh planned to sit her driving test. As 2016 started Niamh was doing really well and moving towards test time! After passing her theory test it was time to line up the real driving test. Just at this time Niamh had a lot of things going on with a family holiday and a final art project to be submitted for her college course. We managed to get a driving test date that suited both of us it also was going to be just in time before Niamh started her university course at the start of September. Even with all of these deadlines adding to the pressure Niamh managed to pass with only one driving fault at the Currie test centre in Edinburgh. Well done.
