Sjoerd Tel – Carlops West Linton
Sjoerd originally from the Netherlands had done a little driving before coming to the UK. He was determined to get his UK driving licence though. It was going to make a huge difference to him, not only the freedom and how useful it would be. Living in the Carlops area currently, he could only really rely on lifts of public transport to get around. At the time he worked along in West Linton which wasn’t too far away, but if he could drive this would really make things easy.
When we started driving lessons Sjoerd was really enthusiastic and got completely into it. As a camp leader, Sjoerd is hoping to continue his learning and go on to complete a minibus licence for work purposes. This would really open the opportunities for different adventures at the camp.
The foundation of driving that we have built during driving lessons should ensure that Sjoerd is ready to take the next step to drive any vehicle. Sjoerd did driving lessons in Penicuik and West Linton areas before going on to sit his driving test in Edinburgh at the Currie test centre. Passing first time making his day and mine.
