Tom – West Linton
Tom started learning to drive a few years ago but once starting university he stopped frequently going out and was busy focusing on other things. In the meantime, his brother Will finished university and decided that he needed to learn to drive before setting himself up with a job. I think the fact his brother had passed earlier this year was a big motivation for him to bring it all together. Over the years I have had similar situations with various brothers and sisters. I think its the sibling rivalry that causes it..
We resumed driving lessons in August and started where we had left things. Tom managed to get insured on his mum’s car also which progressed things quickly. We built a lot of momentum driving around Edinburgh including some of the more central parts. Tom was getting better every week. He booked and sat his driving test at the end of October passing first time ticking of another achievement for 2017. Well done.
