Jess – West Linton
Jess began driving lessons at the end of summer last year and took to them well. As well as doing driving lessons Jess was also practising with her mum between driving lessons which was making a huge difference as Jess was getting to drive on a wide range of roads all across Scotland so was building experience with lots of different scenarios. Jess was in her final year at school and was also busy with teaching gymnastics in the evenings and weekends. By the end of last year, we were ready for Jess to go for her driving test but she was still to get her theory test out the way. With a busy second half of Jess’ school year with her final exams along with gymnastic coaching exams, Jess managed to squeeze her theory test in also. This set us up to book her driving test and hopefully get Jess on the road for the summer. We got a driving test date in Edinburgh lined up for August and did some final preparations over the last few weeks running up to it. I was really confident as Jess had continued practice with her mum up over the last year so had probably more experience than your average person sitting their driving test. I was thrilled to see Jess pass on the day first time. This sets Jess up with her licence for her year out. A great result. Well done.
