Josh – Newington Edinburgh
Josh started driving lessons with myself at the end of January this year. He had previously been taking driving lessons in Peebles but then moved up to Edinburgh for university so wasn’t around regularly in Peebles enough to continue. We looked at the things Josh had already learned and came up with a plan on how we could build on these things and then progress forwards. There were a lot of features that Edinburgh had to offer that didn’t exist in Peebles such a multiple laned roads, spiral rounds abouts and traffic lighted crossroads. Josh seemed to take all these new features in his stride as we went from driving lessons to lesson improving his driving. After a few weeks of going out things were starting to take shape so we decided that we should try a mock driving test and see if the pressure would change the way Josh drove. I was really impressed with how Josh comped with things, he had a very logical approach and managed to think things through even when situations were very tricky. We planned the final few details that we felt could be tightened up and booked the real driving test for mid-April. This was going to be great timing as it was before Josh’s exams but would set him up for the summer. I was really confident in Josh’s ability and although he was nervous I knew he would deliver. He did just that passing his driving test on his first attempt in Edinburgh at the Currie test centre.
