Michael – Peebles
Michael got in touch with me about driving lessons in November of 2015, he was in a rather strange situation, he had been learning to drive in Peebles with his driving instructor for a few months. Everything was going well, Michael was beginning to pull everything together during driving lessons so booked his driving test. Unfortunately, though his driving instructor was going to retire at the end of 2015 and Michael’s driving test date in Peebles was the end of January 2016. I felt very sorry for Michael as it sounded like he had been working so hard on his driving, we arranged to go out and get used to my car and hopefully pull the rest of the little things together. Michael did well and after about 10 minutes was used to my car and we were quickly fine-tuning things for the day of his driving test. We drove around Peebles trying to come up with the most challenging situations to really test Michael as we wanted to be fully prepared. We carried out a mock test and discussed fully all the good points and bad points and Michael did very well taking in the points we went over. Test day came before we knew it and we headed to the Peebles driving test centre. Passing the driving test was going to make a huge difference to Michaels life as he lived in Peebles but worked in Edinburgh so the commute was going to potentially be changed forever. Michael headed out on his driving test on a rainy day in Peebles and I was extremely confident after all the practice we had done that he would have no problems at all. I was delighted when he arrived back to hear that he had passed his driving test in Peebles.
