Harry – Newington Edinburgh
Harry’s old driving instructor was actually the one who got in touch with me. His situation was that he was retiring and had started teaching Harry to drive and wanted to see if he could find someone who could take Harry on, and hopefully get him the rest of the way and onto the road soon. He was looking for a driving instructor that covered the Newington area of Edinburgh and could squeeze Harry in. Looking at my schedule I was really busy at the time but wanted to try and help out. I got in contact with Harry to find out what his availability was like and as he was just about to begin university he was actually very flexible with when he was free.
We went out and looked at the skills Harry already had, we had a lot to do before he was going to be ready for sitting his driving test. Harry did really well taking in the things we were talking about and also went out between driving lessons with his dad to perfect his skills. We set a goal of trying to sit a driving test by Christmas.
Harry also started wathching the YouTube videos I have on my website this brought a number of things together for him and was very noticable when we revisted certain areas. After some hard work it was time to give the driving test a go. Harry found a cancelation which was first thing in the morning at 8am. This meant an early start and at this time of year hopefully no ice. The early start was fine and luckily on the day there was no ice.
Harry succefully passed on his first attempt with only one fault. Well done what a great result.
