Oliver Levine – West Linton
Ollie started driving lesson in his final year at Peebles high school, we went out weekly and worked our way through the basics of driving very quickly. Not before long we were driving around the Edinburgh area looking at larger roundabouts, busier junctions and more complicated traffic light. This was great as this helped Ollie learn very quickly. When the summer holidays rolled in Ollie was going away interrailing with some friends. This meant he had to put dring on hold for a short time as he was going to be out of the country. Upon return Ollie had a deadline in mind for doing his driving test this was to be before he left West Linton to start university in Glasgow in September. Ollie managed to find a driving test date at the very end of August, but frustratingly couldn’t find his provisional drivers licence on the day of the driving test. This meant that he didn’t manage to take the test. Then before he knew it he had departed to Glasgow to start the next chapter of his life at university. I suggested that around Christmas time if he had time off then we could resume and possibly line up a driving test for then. Ollie’s dad John also works in Glasgow and commutes through from West Linton. When Ollie was lucky enough to find a cancelation for October, his dad managed to arrange drive Ollie back through to Edinburgh in time to sit his driving test. Ollie sat his driving test in his mum and dad’s car passing first time in Edinburgh at the Currie driving test centre. Well done!
