Catriona – Bilston Midlothian

Catriona had started driving lessons when she was younger and stopped and started a few times but never really saw it through to the end. This year Catriona was determined that she was going to pull everything together and get her driving licence. Having recently moved to Bilston driving was going to be a big advantage having family and friends all over Edinburgh would mean visiting people would be less of a challenge. We looked at the skills Catriona already had and built on these things and slowly with practice and also Catriona getting to practice outwith driving lessons she pulled all the skills together. We carried out a mock driving test and saw that Catriona was good with certain bits but when we put the pressure on other areas of driving she made some mistakes. The way we fixed this was by carrying out regular mock driving tests to make the high-pressure environment more normal. This seemed to work as Catriona passed with flying colours in Edinburgh when she sat her real driving test. Well done an excellent result.
