Courtney – Carrick Knowe Edinburgh
Courtney and her other half Conor started driving lessons in the same week back at the end of April. They had both decided that learning to drive was top of their list for 2017. I went out weekly with both of them and both of them had completely different strengths and weaknesses but amazingly each seemed to learn at the same pace. Courtney was very determined during driving lessons and was very happy to try things over and over again until she got the hang of things this was great as we could really tighten up on clutch control and other aspects of driving which would help overall. Once we had brought everything together we carried out a mock driving test and came up with one last plan of things to tighten up on before the real driving test. To add to the pressure after starting her first lessons two days after Conor, Courtney managed to book her driving test just three days after Conor was going to be sitting his driving test. This really put the pressure on both to try and deliver on the day. I was confident that both were very capable. Conor sailed through his driving test on his first attempt putting, even more, pressure on Courtney to deliver on the day. We went out for one last practice before her driving test the hour before. Courtney was on form, after carrying out each manoeuvre and driving through a mix of roads in Edinburgh we parked up at the driving tests centre and Courtney went away with the examiner to try and demonstrate her skills. I waited confidently for her return. I was absolutely delighted to find that upon her return she had passed first time matching her partner Conor’s success. Well done.
