Jamie’s Journey to Driving Success in Edinburgh
Jamie, who lives just beside the Morningside area of Edinburgh, got in touch after hearing about my lessons through his girlfriend’s brother, Fin, who I had taught earlier this year. From the start, we were working in busy city traffic, as Morningside is a lively part of town with little room for slow starts. Although Jamie had done a little driving before starting lessons, he was still at a beginner level, and we quickly found a rhythm that suited his learning.
Each week, Jamie showed real commitment to improving his skills, always asking thoughtful questions and striving for perfection. I’m a big fan of this kind of dedication, and it really paid off for Jamie. After a few lessons, we conducted a mock driving test, which highlighted any remaining areas that needed work. Together, we focused on fine-tuning those details, and Jamie also practised in between lessons, which helped speed up his progress.
Once Jamie felt confident and well-prepared, he managed to secure a last-minute driving test cancellation, with only a week’s notice. Despite the short time frame, I knew he was ready, and on the day of his test, Jamie passed with flying colours on his first attempt.
Jamie’s hard work and determination made all the difference, and now he’s free to enjoy driving around Edinburgh whenever he likes. Well done, Jamie!
