Maddie – Greenbank Edinburgh
Maddie got in touch looking for a driving instructor that covered the Greenbank area in Edinburgh. She had already been doing a lot of diving with her mum and stepdad but was looking to try and bring the final details together. On our first driving lesson, we went out and tried to figure out what skills Maddie already had and if there was anything in particular that we needed to focus on.
The level Maddie already had was great we set to work fine-tuning the clutch control a little further which would hopefully make Maddie a lot more confident in certain situations, such as edging out of junctions or making the car pause briefly on a hill while giving way to someone.
Between driving lessons, Maddie was going out regularly developing and mastering what we had looked at in each driving lesson. This made progress very steady and kept things pretty exciting as each time we went out a big improvement was noticeable.
Maddie was yet to sit and pass her theory test but we were fast getting on track to hopefully book a driving test straight after she had that done. On the run-up to Christmas Maddie successfully found, booked and passed her theory test! Nothing was stopping us now. We carried out a few mock tests to put Maddie under a little pressure to see how she would get on.
When the test date came around I was really confident that we had covered all bases. I was delighted on her return to find out that she had passed on her first attempt. Maddie can now come and go from Greenbank and drive wherever she wants in Edinburgh and beyond. Well done Maddie.
