Hannah – Edinburgh
At the start of Summer Hannah got in touch with me about driving lessons, she had already had another driving instructor in Edinburgh but fancied a change. She was looking to hopefully sit her test after the summer as she had lots of things on and felt that October time she would be back to a normal routine in Edinburgh and able to fully focus on her driving. We agreed to begin at the end of September, on our first driving lesson we went out for a general drive to see how Hannah was getting on with everything. Hannah did really well and had a great number of skills that I was really impressed with we just needed to fine tune roundabouts and maybe look at some of the manoeuvres so Hannah would feel really confident when her driving test came around. After a few more weeks of going out, we decided to try a mock driving test in the Currie area of Edinburgh where Hannah had already been practising. Hannah did really well with this, showing a huge improvement we both were feeling like everything was coming together with Hannahs driving. Hannah managed to book a driving test for early November, this was really exciting as it wasn’t long away. We did a few more weeks of general practice and in between driving lessons Hannah was getting to go out practising with her aunt which was a great help as this was pulling small details together. On the week of Hannah’s driving test there were lots of weather warnings with heavy snow forecast. Luckily for us this didn’t happen, so nothing was going to stop us now. On the morning of the test, I collected Hannah and we headed across Edinburgh to the Currie area to do one final practice before giving the test a go. Hannah was nervous but we discussed that she could do everything consistently and that all Hannah needed to do was drive how she has been practising. Hannah did just that passing her driving test with only two faults. A great result, well done Hannah.
