Driving with Determination: Moira’s Journey to Nursing and Navigating Edinburgh’s Roads
Moira, currently on the path to becoming a nurse, embarked on her driving journey in August, eager to weave the skills acquired during outings with her dad in Glasgow into a successful driving test in Edinburgh. Juggling nursing studies and placements, Moira aimed to amplify her mobility for upcoming distant work assignments.
Our initial lessons, strategically centred around the Marchmont area, unveiled Moira’s existing skills, providing a solid foundation to build upon. With a clear plan in place after just a couple of sessions, we worked diligently to perfect every aspect before the impending driving test.
Moira’s dedicated efforts propelled steady progress in each lesson. The timing aligned perfectly to aim for the test before her nursing placement commenced, ensuring flexibility in her schedule for a smoother experience.
Successfully clearing her theory test paved the way for Moira to secure a driving test slot at the Currie test centre in Edinburgh, strategically positioned just before her placement. In the weeks leading up to the test, we fine-tuned every detail to ensure readiness.
On the big day, I picked up Moira from her flat in Marchmont, and our final drive around town showcased her calm and collected demeanour. Arriving at the test centre, Moira impressed the examiner, earning the much-anticipated news—she had passed her driving test.
Congratulations, Moira! 🚗🌟
