Ruaridh Duncan – Rutherford Castle
Ruaridh began driving lessons in Edinburgh at on the last week of March 2015. Our first driving lesson started outside George Watsons in Edinburgh in the Morningside area and was 90 minutes long. In this time we had the challenge to get Ruaridh familiar with all the car controls learn about junctions and basic clutch control before rolling this out onto the main road which would feature traffic lights, roundabouts and Edinburgh’s rush hour traffic! Ruaridh seemed to take everything in his stride though not really getting worried about what he was going to face, together we managed to navigate our way out of Edinburgh finishing Ruaridh’s first driving lesson on time and achieving so much. Over the next few months Ruaridh was moving into his exams which meant we had some time in exam leave to keep the driving ago, providing a slight escape from revision. Each lesson we progressed quickly fine tuning different things. Not before too long we tried a mock driving test which was interesting with many mistakes to work on but helped to give us a clear plan. After fixing all the issues it was time to step up for the real driving test. Ruaridh wanted to try and achive a pass for summer which I was excited for as it would give him freedom and we had worked so hard for it. Ruaridh did not disapint passing first time with only three driving faults at the Currie driving test centre in Edinburgh.
