Samantha – Penicuik Midlothian

Samantha got in touch with me at the start of the summer, she was looking to begin driving lessons unfortunately I was completely full at the time and couldn’t start straight away. Samantha said that she was happy to wait until I had space so I agreed I would let her know as soon as I had space to begin. We managed to begin in August Samantha had done a few driving lessons with another driving instructor which was great as she had the basics, this meant we could power through everything and hopefully have her on the road soon. On our first driving lesson we drove around Penicuik getting used to my car and seeing what skills Samantha already had. This went really well so we ventured out with Penicuik taking on roundabouts and not before too long we were in Edinburgh driving through some of the busiest roundabouts and features. Samantha was a very fast learner and each week we managed to move onto something else. As October came around we carried out a mock driving test which I was impressed with, we needed a bit more work but together came up with a plan of what we needed to do before sitting a driving test. Samantha managed to book a driving test in Edinburgh at the Currie test centre for the start of November, this gave us just the right amount of time we needed to fine tune the driving. On the day I collected Samantha from her house in Penicuik and we headed into Edinburgh, I wasn’t nervous as we had mastered everything in practice to a very high standard and there was no reason Samantha couldn’t do it again for the examiner. Getting caught up in Friday afternoon traffic Samantha was out for almost an hour but it was great to hear that he had passed first time with only two driving faults. An excellent result
