Rebecca Greenhow – West Linton
Rebecca started driving lessons in August just before returning to complete her final year at Peebles high school. Rebecca’s Dad had taken her out and shown her the basics which was great, this meant Rebecca had some really good foundations to build on during her first driving lesson. Rebecca seemed to get the hang of driving very quickly, and had a relaxed approach to things, this helped her deal with very complicated situations calmly and efficiently very early on. We drove around a number of places during driving lessons including Penicuik and Peebles but decided that Edinburgh was going to be the best place to sit the driving test as the waiting list was a fraction of the wait in Peebles and Edinburgh was was probably going to give Rebecca a lot of good experience with diving which she could learn from for when she drove on her own. Rebecca became very consistent and with practice she was doing between driving lessons she went from strength to strength. We carried out a mock driving test which was good and got Rebecca thinking about what she needed to pay attention to. Test day rolled in the week before Rebecca was due to finish for a christmas break from school. Driving was going to mean that during the holidays she would have the freedom to dive wherever she wanted so this added to the excitement of the driving test. Rebecca managed to keep it all together and just like during her driving lessons she delivered a very calm and thought out drive passing with compliments from the examiner. Well done.
