Perfecting Driving Skills in Morningside
Hannah, based in the Morningside area of Edinburgh, began her driving journey at the start of summer 2024 with a clear goal: to use her Fridays off work to achieve her driving license. On her first lesson, we headed to the Braids, where we assessed her skills and started building her confidence. It wasn’t long before Hannah mastered stopping, starting, changing gears, and mirror use with impressive fluency.
Her enthusiasm and focus shone through in every lesson, and as her skills developed, she practised driving with her sister, gaining valuable experience in a different car. This extra practice made a noticeable difference, complementing her steady progress during lessons.
In October, a new challenge arose when I changed to a larger car, which required Hannah to adapt quickly to its different handling. True to form, she embraced the challenge and perfected her technique in no time.
As Christmas approached, Hannah was ready. After completing several mock driving tests and addressing every detail, she confidently took her test. I’m thrilled to report that she passed just before the holidays, earning her driving license.
Well done, Hannah! Your dedication and determination paid off, and now you can come and go from Morningside as you please.
