Lindsey Gass – Fountain Bridge – Edinburgh

Lindsey who had previously taken driving lessons in Peebles with another driving instructor the year before decided that she wanted to sit her driving test before her younger sister Gemma. I think that the fact that her younger sister was learning to drive and doing very well provided endless motivation to pass her driving test and get on the road first. After going out with Lindsey once we came up with a plan of what we needed to do. Lindsey was starting at Edinburgh Napier University in September and was going to be moving into a flat in Edinburgh so it made sense for us to take the driving test and do our driving lessons in Edinburgh. The difference between driving in Peebles and in and around Edinburgh were huge. We had bus lanes, spiral roundabouts dual carriageways and many more urban features to learn about and master for the day of Lindseys driving test. Lindsey did really well as we went from one driving lesson to the next, she managed to retain and recall information and advanced very quickly dealing with each feature Edinburgh had to offer. Lindsey managed to find a driving test cancellation and was very keen to step up and give the driving test a go. After Lindsey booked her driving test at the Currie test centre in Edinburgh we had very limited time to bring the final bits together. We worked very hard and test day was with us before we knew it, Lindsey told me on the day that she had kept the whole thing top secret so no extra pressure was on her. Lindsey did really well passing with ease in Edinburgh and setting herself up with a lifetime skill!
