Molly – Nine Mile Burn
Molly was just beginning her final year at high school in Edinburgh. In sixth year Molly had a little more free time and having a driving licence would mean Molly could leave school earlier or start later if she didn’t have any subjects that day. This was a huge motivation to get her driving licence. Molly had actually been driving a little but for many years as where she lived, there was a private road on which Molly had masted good general control of the car. This meant we just needed to take these skills and apply them to the open road. On Molly’s first driving lessons, we got her dad to join us so he could practice the things that we were doing with her. This sped things up a lot for us. We just needed Molly to get her theory test done and out of the way before booking the driving test. Molly managed to get this done and before we knew it we were onto the main test. I collected Molly from school in the afternoon and we headed to the test centre to see how she would get on. I was delighted to see her pass on her first attempt with only one fault recorded. What a result.
