Chloe – Roslin

Paving the Road to Independence in Edinburgh’s Outskirts

On the outskirts of Edinburgh, in the village of Roslin, Chloe embarked on a transformative journey. Moving from the bustling city to the serene outskirts, Chloe saw learning to drive as a gateway to new opportunities and a significant enhancement to her daily life.

Chloe had taken a few driving lessons in Edinburgh before, but the road had eluded her until now. In the summer of 2023, she decided it was time to tackle this challenge head-on. After getting in touch we came up with a plan to get Chloe on the road, we set out on a path that would hopefully change Chloe’s life.

The driving lessons were strategically planned to fit Chloe’s schedule, aligning with her work-from-home days on Mondays and Fridays. The early morning sessions, usually on Fridays at 7 a.m., kickstarted her day with a burst of driving practice. With each passing week, Chloe’s confidence grew, paving the way for a crucial step in her journey.

After a few weeks of consistent lessons, Chloe took a significant leap by purchasing her own car. This not only symbolized her commitment but also provided the opportunity to practice in between formal lessons, further refining her skills. The roads from Roslin to Edinburgh became the canvas for her progress, mirroring the routes she would take for her upcoming driving test.

As the lessons progressed, we mimicked the conditions of the driving test. I proposed a mock driving test, simulating the actual test scenario. Although a few mistakes were made, Chloe’s determination and willingness to learn ensured that any errors were swiftly addressed.

The timing aligned perfectly with Chloe successfully passing her driving theory test, marking a significant milestone in her journey. With the theory test hurdle cleared, the practical driving test was within reach.

Chloe’s determination and hard work culminated on the day of her practical test. An early start, with a final practice before arriving at the test centre, set the tone for the day. At 8 a.m. sharp, Chloe set off with the examiner, leaving me waiting in anticipation.

Approximately one hours later, Chloe returned, she may have taken a wrong turn and experncied a large number of roadworks on her journey but —she had passed her driving test! The examiner’s verdict was a testament to Chloe’s dedication.

Congratulations, Chloe! May the roads ahead be filled with safe travels and exciting adventures. Well done! 🚗🎉
