Kineta – Mortonhall

Kineta reached out to me to start her driving lessons after her older sister Koren had learned with me a few years ago. She was a university student and had some free time in her schedule, making it the perfect opportunity for her to learn to drive. After covering the basics and getting the foundational skills in place, we started applying these skills in different locations around the Southside of Edinburgh where we found plenty of challenges to work with.

Kineta passed her theory test with flying colours and it was just a matter of time before we could book her practical test. We tried a mock driving test where Kineta made a few mistakes, but this gave us a clear picture of the areas that needed work. As the weeks went by, Kineta also used the videos on my website to further her progress and understanding of the roads in Edinburgh.

After a few months of driving lessons, mock tests, and revisiting skills, we were finally ready to think about lining up a driving test. Kineta found a test for a few weeks later which was exciting and soon. However, after our final preparation, we realised that a few skills still needed tightening up to avoid failing the test. Kineta decided to push back her test date by two weeks to the end of February. We spent that time perfecting the last details, and Kineta did really well demonstrating all the required skills on the day before her driving test.

On the day of her test, I collected Kineta and we warmed up quickly before parking at the test centre for the real deal. After completing the test, Kineta arrived back with good news: she had passed on her first attempt! Well done Kineta!
